About Me

Teak Topham Software, as you may have guessed, is named after it's sole creator and contributor, Teak Topham. I am a Mac programmer and technician, and a Web programmer on the side. I live in British Columbia, Canada, and was born in 1994.

The original intension for creating TTS was to provide a web home for SlideMode, a Mac app currently under development. It doesn't have all its features yet, but it can be downloaded and tried out: SlideMode

SlideMode 0.0.4 Released! Now Beta! In version 0.0.4, SlideMode has been stripped of its alpha label, and graduated to beta.

This version contains four new features, including SlideSelection. SlideSelection is the Mac version of this concept video, by Daniel Hooper.

DockShow, No Longer Needed. I don't no when when this happened, but Apple seems to have updated the Dock app to allow the for fast animation and no delay. I found out today at this post on OSXDaily: Here. This is both good and bad news for DockShow. I will update DockShow to become a visual preference dialog for the new functions, however the DockShow function of SlideMode is no longer needed to to make the dock show up faster. (I will also leave and improve the original DockShow function, for people who have not update to lion.)

NetDispatch Version 0.0.1 Released! My latest app, NetDispatch, has been released. NetDispatch is a freeware app, designed to send single, non-replayable, messages to many computers at once. Simply setup NetDispatch on any computer you want to receive messages on, and let it run. It will run completely invisibly, in the background, waiting for you to send a message to it.

New App: NetDispatch ND will be released within the next two weeks. NetDispatch is an app designed to send a message to many computers on a local network or over the web. Simply set it up on each computer you want to receive messages on.

SlideMode Does Not Work In 10.8 Mountain Lion The latest version of SlideMode (0.0.3) does not work with OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion DP1. It is a developer preview of Mountain Lion, however it is not likely to start working in a later release. I will be working hard to make it work before the final release of OS X 10.8. As soon as its working I will post here, and issue an update.

SlideMode Alpha 2 Released! The second alpha release, mainly intended for people who wish to use the DockShow function, has been released! This update includes auto updating, meaning it will automatically update as I add new features. It also includes an option to hide the menu icon, launch at login, and the main "Slide" feature.

Safari Tab Mod Beta 2 Safari Tab Mod Beta 2 includes an all new installation and uninstalation system. It now backs up all files that it changes, in such a way that they can be put back using a fresh download of the uninstaller.

New Website Launched! My new website, (teaksoftware.com) has been launched! After finding, learning, and using, the wonderful Symphony CMS, Teak Topham Software, is officially on the web.
